22. Juli 2025, 17:15 - 18:30
Veranstaltung Navigation

Next to the classical Keller-Segel system of chemotaxis (the partially directed movement of cells in response to a chemical signal), which is famous for admitting both blow-up and global existence of solutions and its potential to capture pattern formation in the most striking form of finite-time blow-up, over the last years, another class of chemotaxis systems has garnered interest: That of signal-consumption chemotaxis systems, where the signal is consumed and not produced. In this lecture, we will look at basic examples and recent developments regarding these systems.
Referent: Prof. Dr. Johannes Lankeit, Leibniz Universität Hannover
