What Can Ludwig Wittgenstein’s »Remarks on Colors« Still Tell Us Today?

This lecture focuses on Ludwig Wittgenstein’s »Remarks on Colors« (»Bemerkungen über Farben«) from the 1940s and 1950s. It begins by examining whom his reflections refer to, with early 20th-century anthropologists playing an important role. The second part establishes a connection to later color anthropology and demonstrates that Wittgenstein’s reflections remain relevant to this day.
