Felix Klein Autumn Workshop »Mathematics in the Artificial and Biological Intelligence«

21. September 2022, 10:00 - 23. September 2022, 13:30

The workshop will provide an overview of important mathematical challenges, concepts and methods in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This will be motivated and considered from the biomedical perspective that arises when observing/measuring real neurobiological systems. The resulting mathematical problems come from the optimization environment, and their mathematical solution approaches are compared in terms of numerical feasibility and complexity.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Illia Horenko, full professor of Mathematics of AI, Department of Mathematics, TU Kaiserslautern (Supported by Dr. Davide Bassetti, TU Kaiserslautern and Edoardo Vecchi, USI Lugano)

Prof. Dr. Illia Horenko has been a new professor at the Department of Mathematics at TU Kaiserslautern since July 2022. There, he represents the teaching area of Artificial Intelligence. He has already been connected with Fraunhofer ITWM through projects for several months. During the Felix Klein Autumn School, he will present his field of work in more detail.
