Classifying modular representations

It is a basic and classical problem in modular representation theory to classify the indecomposable representations of a finite group. Henning Krause will explain this problem from a historical perspective. Then I discuss the more recent development which involves the notion of cohomological support, eventually leading to a connection to Grothendieck’s local duality.
