Originally motivated by physics, ergodic theorems have found applications in many areas of mathematics such as dynamical systems, number theory, stochastics, functional analysis etc. We present some generalisations of the classical ergodic theorems and discuss recent developments in this area.
The »Felix-Klein-Colloquium« is a series of lectures organized by the Felix Klein Centre for Mathematics, which focuses on current aspects of mathematics in fundamentals and application.
Students, doctoral candidates and employees of the Department of Mathematics at TU Kaiserslautern (TUK) and the Fraunhofer ITWM are cordially invited to the colloquium. Registration is not required.
